STEP 1

STEP 2
We expanded our knowledge by analyzing competitors like ZeroSum, Xplay.gg, and Faceit. One key takeaway from this deep dive? Onboarding was a major pain point for many platforms. Primary questions to be answered:
1) Where should we be?
2) Where are we lacking?
3) What is the way to be competitive?
STEP 3
It's better to break out the bigger chunk into individual modules and dive deep into them one at a time. This way we were able to reduce the iteration time and focus more on the problem at hand.
STEP 4
It's important to define the pain points that appeared while using the old designs. We definitely can improve the interface when the correct root of pain was found.
STEP 5
HOW COULD WE SOLVE THIS?
For the scope of this case study, we took user onboarding module, our main goal was to make the onboarding so simple that even a non web3 native user can easily get onboarded on the platform.
STEP 6
We made a clickable prototype of our iteration, then based on user feedback and testing, we created more iterations to find the most suitable structure.
STEP 7
After thoroughly testing our ideas in wireframe stage, we were ready to design a full fledged version of our onboarding module.
Giving top social logins for faster onboarding
Introducing non web3 users to wallets and creating one for them in a single click
Asking for their game preference in order to personalize their experience.
STEP 8
A well documented page was made in our figma file for developers to follow. This method helped them in prioritizing tasks and completing them as per design standards.
AT A GLANCE
We started by defining the kind of vibe we want our users to have while using the app. Since it was a gaming platform we made sure to give them a futuristic and techy vibes.
Ending note
Thank you for reading it till the end. This project helped me a lot in learning how to create aesthetic looking design that functions well. I feel quite fortunate that I was given the opportunity to work on such a piece. My team also played a vital role in bringing all the pieces together so kudos to everyone who was a part of it ;)
